Composition & Keyboard Labs
Composition Lab: The Composition Lab is utilized by students in the B.M. in Composition and M.M. in Music Education (Composition) degree programs as well as non-degree music students taking composition lessons and includes the following assets.
- Software: Finale 27, Sibelius 8, Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro, Ableton Live Suite, Max/MSP for Live, Tapspace Virtual Drumline, Note Performer
- Hardware: Mac Mini M1 2021 (16 GB RAM) w/ 4K 32" monitors, M-Audio MIDI Controllers, Celviano Digital Piano, M-Audio and Mackie Studio Monitors for all stations, Sennheiser monitor headphones for all stations, MOTU and Digidesign interfaces for five workstations.
Music Technology/Keyboard Lab: The Music Technology/Keyboard Lab consists of 24 student keyboard/computer stations and one instructor station and is used for class piano instruction, EDUC 331 Educational Technology, and MU133 Music and Technology and includes the following assets:
